Archer Architects developed this proposal located immediately behind the rebuilt Globe Theatre in Southwark, London. The intent is to utilise the best current thinking on sustainable technology to produce a building that is an exemplar in low energy consumption.

This aspiration is clearly demonstrated in the two storey winter garden which tops the building. The environmental strategy seeks to use this volume to clean and then recycle the air within the building.
