Our client, the Glass & Glazing Federation acquired a warehouse building close to their original offices in Borough, London. The building required extensive refurbishment, remodelling and extension and so Archer Architects submitted a series of Planning Applications which led to an increase of the building area by 40%.
The Federation provides meeting and conference facilities to its members and so the entire ground floor is given over to the public face of the organisation, organised along a new concourse.
The crowning glory of the project is a new top floor, which is enclosed by high performance structural glass walls and a terrace, with fantastic views across historic Borough and the City of London.
Furniture was selected to provide optimum occupation whilst providing a light clean space.
